1967:

	Students crowd to listen to one of L. Ron Hubbard’s lectures through the open windows of the lecture hall at Saint Hill.

On 2 January, Mr. Hubbard arrives in Tangier, Morocco, and establishes a base for advanced philosophic studies. He travels to Las Palmas, Canary Islands, where he meets the Enchanter which arrives on 25 February.

Joined by yet another vessel, the Avon River (later renamed the Athena), he conducts the Hubbard Geological Survey Expedition in the Mediterranean.

In November he travels to England and accepts delivery of the 3,200-ton vessel Royal Scotman.
