L. Ron Hubbard: A Chronicle

1980-1981:
During this period Mr. Hubbard devotes the majority of his time to writing.

He formulates a nonreligious moral code, The Way To Happiness, as a solution to the eroding morals in society. The broad distribution and widespread acceptance of this code contributes to a grass-roots movement for improved moral values.

He also writes two feature-length screenplays and 50 film treatments for public films on Dianetics and Scientology.

To mark his 50th anniversary as a professional writer, he writes the international blockbuster, Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000, the largest science fiction novel written to date.

As part of his 2 million word output during this period, he also writes his science fiction satire, 10-volume magnum opus, Mission Earth.
